This position performs responsible semi-skilled work in cemetery and parks maintenance. Work involves the use of a variety of tools and light and medium equipment. Work may involve participating in a variety of skilled trades such as plumbing, masonry, landscaping, carpentry, and other tasks. Work is subject to on-call and call-back duties.

Duties include working on a crew to provide repair and maintenance tasks for cemetery or parks. Employee will perform a variety of maintenance tasks such as using power hand equipment; removing leaves and debris; trimming shrubbery, and clearing and landscaping grounds. Operates heavy equipment including trucks, dump trucks, tractors, loaders, zero turn mowers, weedeaters and other medium and light equipment. Additional job duties may include loose leaf collection, performing general maintenance on municipal facilities and equipment.

This position involves exerting 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly. The position also performs bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, twisting, kneeling, and reaching both to ground level and overhead; holds and grips objects; subject to working in awkward positions and periods of prolonged walking, sitting, or standing.
