WHY WORK FOR RC ENGINEERING?The Engineering Services Department consists of five separate sections, Capital Management, Environmental Programs, Land Development, Rancho Cucamonga Municipal Utility, and Transportation, with a total of forty-one (41) staff spanning various roles. It is just another opportunity to learn and grow.You are friendly and approachable and enjoy helping others succeed.You'll be responsible for: Assisting with budget preparation and analysis, as well as ongoing management of operating budget through tracking of expenditures and revenue from the department’s five sections.Assisting with the preparation of the City’s annual Capital Improvement Project (CIP) budget document.Processing of invoices and credit card statements, as well as reconciliation of transactions. Assisting with contract management and procurement of supplies and equipment.Submittal of purchase requisitions and supplemental purchase orders.Preparing staff reports, formal department reports, memorandums, and other administrative materials.Compiling data for use in reports, presentations, complex spreadsheets, and Department’s performance measures.Assisting with capital projects and providing administrative support to project managers.Assisting with grant submittals and administration, including grant applications, tracking expenditures, and progress report submittals.Inputting and editing data in budget modules within the financial software.Assisting with the compilation of preliminary and final annual budget documents.Responding to inquiries and providing technical and administrative assistance to other departments as needed.Support the City's Paid Parking Program including customer service, on-site support and data reporting.Directly report to the Deputy Director of Engineering Services – Utilities.
