Starting pay is between $28.23 - $31.12 an hour based on experience and per the 1386A Working Agreement. ASE Certificate holders earn an additional $0.50/hour.

Thepurposeofthispositionistomaintainallpublicworks,lighttoheavytoolsandequipmentin a reliable and safe condition to be available for service according to approved standards. The work involves completing work orders, requesting parts from the Inventory Management Specialist,reviewing PM check lists, and utilizing proper techniques for lift operation, tire rotation,grease, inspections, and all other aspects of the equipment maintenance group.This includes performing routine maintenance for all equipment, maintaining tools and equipment in the most cost-effective manner, recording all equipment maintenance and associated costs, using partsandsupplieswiselyandrecommendingmaintenanceandrepairimprovementstoreduceoverall operating costs.It also involves learning the proper operating and maintenance procedures for all City vehicles and equipment.
