City Of Pomona is Hiring a Police Cadet Near Pomona, CA

As a Police Cadet, you will participate in an apprenticeship program designed to prepare you for a fulfilling career in law enforcement. This position offers a variety of support and administrative functions within the Police Department, providing valuable hands-on experience and training.

This position is classified as at-will, hourly, part-time. Hourly, part-time positions average 20 hours per week and less than 1,000 hours in a fiscal year.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be between the ages of 18-23 and currently enrolled or attending an accredited college or university and carrying 8 or more units and a GPA of 2.0 (recent high school graduates must show proof of enrollment prior to appointment).
Must remain enrolled in college throughout employment as a Cadet.
Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma, GED equivalency or CHSPE.
A valid class C driver's license with acceptable driving history is required.
In addition, applicant must be of good moral character.

Other duties as assigned

Work days and hours will vary depending on the Department's need. Must be able to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
