City Of Pomona is Hiring a Police Cadet Near Pomona, CA

As a Police Cadet, you will participate in an apprenticeship program designed to prepare you for a fulfilling career in law enforcement. This position offers a variety of support and administrative functions within the Police Department, providing valuable hands-on experience and training.

This position is classified as at-will, hourly, part-time. Hourly, part-time positions average 20 hours per week and less than 1,000 hours in a fiscal year.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be between the ages of 18-23 and currently enrolled or attending an accredited college or university and carrying 8 or more units and a GPA of 2.0 (recent high school graduates must show proof of enrollment prior to appointment).
  • Must remain enrolled in college throughout employment as a Cadet.
  • Applicant must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma, GED equivalency or CHSPE.
  • A valid class C driver's license with acceptable driving history is required.
  • In addition, applicant must be of good moral character.

Work days and hours will vary depending on the Department's need. Must be able to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
