Description

Under the director of the Parks and Recreation Manager, Recreation Supervisors and Coordinators, the purpose of this position is to enhance the quality of life for all residents and to foster individual and community in all aspects of physical, mental, social and environmental through recreational opportunities.

Plymouth Park & Recreation Department offers a wide variety of programs and classes throughout the year. We are currently hiring seasonal staff for our 2022/2023 Fall Winter and Spring Programs. Programs are two nights a week and Saturdays or Sundays. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact the Recreation Office at 763-509-5200.

Gymnastics: Assistants

• A curriculum is provided with part time positions.
• Training prior to program start dates.
• Saturday hours are approximately 8:00am- 4:00pm with some evening programming. Possible Sunday hours in late spring.
  Preschool and Youth Programs: Leading, coaching and spotting advancing gymnasts with tumbling and gymnastic skills based on age level.
  Preschool Program: Leading and spotting preschool students with basic movement and tumbling skills.

Essential Functions

• Plans, organizes and direct activities for all ages in a recreation setting.
• Provide support as needed for all participants and staff to create an inclusive environment.
• Works as part of a team to ensure quality programs for all ages.
• Follows staff policies and procedures.
• Ensures all staff and participants follow the established policies and procedures.
• Provide a safe, fun and appropriate experience of all participants.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with youth desired.
• Previous experience with gymnastics or dance experience desired, but will train
• Must be 14 years of age by employment start date
