```Duties```
- Receive emergency and non-emergency calls from the public and dispatch appropriate personnel
- Gather and analyze information to determine the nature and urgency of each call
- Provide clear and concise instructions to callers in emergency situations
- Maintain accurate records of all calls received and actions taken
- Operate communication equipment such as radios, telephones, and computer systems
- Monitor multiple radio frequencies and channels simultaneously
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, fire departments, and medical personnel to coordinate responses
*****QUALIFICATIONS*****
-Answer ALL phone lines (emergency & non emergency) and respond appropriately to the situation. Monitor 911 lines, teletype & all radio equipment.
- Ability to analyze information quickly and make sound decisions
-Excellent Phone etiquette & communication skills
- Experience in dispatching or a similar role is preferred but NOT required
- Proficient typing skills for accurate data entry during calls
-Develop & maintain logs/records of ALERT computer information, arrest information and calls for service. Enter, retrieve and maintain information utilizing MULES, NCIC , and ALERT systems.
- Familiarity with GPS systems for accurate location tracking
- Understanding of law enforcement protocols and procedures
