ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Facilities Planning & Projects Division (FPPD) provides citywide asset, energy, and project management services to more than 860 city-owned and leased facilities encompassing 10.6 million square feet, including the downtown campus, police and fire stations, libraries, service centers, parks and pools, recreation centers, cultural facilities, and other city buildings/infrastructure.

The FPPD is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to help implement and maintain the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAMS) which includes compilation of the supporting data and reports.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and training Work Control staff on standardized monthly operational and quality control reports for client department and supervisors.
  • Working with multiple departments to create customized reports, improve business processes, and ensure database consistency.
  • Validating all building Facility Condition Assessments, analyzing potential gaps, and preparing documentation for upload into the EAMS.
  • Training clients on the major maintenance prioritization process, ratings, and mandatory updates.
  • Ensuring accuracy in the EAMS system due to departmental self-performance of major maintenance work.
  • Maintaining the EAMS system's customer/tenant portal.
  • Evaluating and improving processes, developing client communication and reporting tools, and managing major maintenance.
  • Analyzing any software issues and conflicts between EAMS and other applications such as SAP, GIS, QR coding, mobile device software, and AutoCAD.

Work will be performed under the supervision of a Deputy or Superintendent.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

Knowledge of:

  • Facilites maintenance and capital improvement projects.
  • Asset mangement principles and practices.
  • Project management and business principles.

SALARY

Pay Range: $60,028.80 to $97,780.80 annually.

Hiring Range:$60,028.80 to $84,468.80 annually.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • One year of experience in systems analysis, configuration, and testing of enterprise applications.
  • AND Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or a related field.
  • Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum qualifications listed above, plus:

Experience with:

  • Writing/reviewing training guides, scopes of work, and cost estimating.
  • SAP Software, MS Office, MS Outlook, and ESRI.
  • Enterprise Solution software and modules to include uploading data to SharePoint.
  • Database management and analytics, to include auditing for consistency and accuracy.
  • Evaluating processes and procedures, identifying gaps, and recommending solutions.
  • Compiling and analyzing data.
  • Designing and producing customized reports.
  • Utilizing research techniques and fit/gap analyses.
  • Flow charting, data modeling, and process modeling.
  • Conducting training classes.
  • Working with field staff and multiple stakeholders.
  • Reading blueprints.
  • Managing and evaluating contracts and contractors.
