The City of Pearland, TX is seeking to hire a full-time Code Enforcement / Health Officer to lead and improve aspects of the day-to-day operations of our Fire department.

The Code Enforcement / Health Officer earns a competitive hourly salary of $20.58-$22.27 / hour, based on qualifications.
Additionally, the city pays all premiums for our employees' dental, long-term disability protection, and life insurance plus the majority portion of the medical premium for employees and their dependents.

Job Summary
The purpose of th is class within the organization is to ensure the safety and health of the citizens of Pearland by vigilantly enforcing the standards established by the ordinances approved by the City Council in regard to food inspections, health inspections, d angerous buildings, accumulation of trash and debris, illegal dumping, a nd other general nuisance related violations.
This class works under general supervision, independently developing work methods and sequences.
