Zoning & Planning Technician

Technical work in support of zoning and development review functions. Accepting, processing and reviewing planning and redevelopment plans and applications. Issue business licenses and provide administrative assistance and support the Planning and Redevelopment departmental needs. Duties include reviewing subdivisions, zoning & development requests and following up with applicant where necessary.

· High school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.

· Two (2) years’ experience in local zoning regulations.

· Three (3) years’ experience in responsible office work, construction related work preferred.

· Background and experience in working with computers and software highly desirable.
