The City of O'Fallon is looking for energetic and dependable Swim Instructor. Are you looking for a part-time opportunity where you can use your skills in instructing, pool operations, and problem solving? Our Swim Instructors earn competitive pay with an expected starting rate of pay of $14.85 hourly.

As part of our Aquatics Department, this position plays an important role in providing swim instruction to groups and individuals.

As a Swim Instructor, your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Providing swimming instruction at group, private and/or semi-private swimming lessons
• Providing in-service training to remain certified
• Providing first aid when needed

We're looking for someone who is a great communicator and interested in sharing their knowledge of swimming. This person should be able to easily learn department policies and procedures, including pool operation guidelines and principles and the use of pool chemicals.

Applicants must:

• Possess knowledge of pool chemicals
• Be proficient in each of the four swim strokes and have the ability to teach them
• Have knowledge of water rescue techniques
• Have, or have the ability to attain First Aid and CPR certification
