The City of Northfield is recruiting for a full-time Water Quality Specialist. This position performs skilled, technical, and Natural Resource related work in association with the City’s storm water infrastructure system and implementation of the City’s Surface Water Management Ordinance, MS4 General Permit Requirements and other water quality related studies, plans, and regulations.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two (2) years of related technical or college education in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, Natural Resources, or Environmental Sciences with specialized training in storm water management and/or collection systems;
Experience, training or coursework in the use of GIS software for mapping or information changes and updates.
Four (4) years of related work experience.
Any combination of education and/or experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.
Valid State driver’s license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient in ESRI ArcGIS Suite Software
Proficient in MS4iD Stormwater Management Software
Design of Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans – certified by MnDOT
Construction Site Management – certified by MnDOT
