ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

- Pay Considerations – The salary range for the position is $94,869.29 - $154,275.75. Starting salary is dependent on education, qualifications, and experience.
- Work Schedule – This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day (36 hour work week), Monday through Thursday, 5:30am to 3:00pm.
- Environment – Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25* pounds unassisted.
THE ROLE
Manages, coordinates, and directs staff and activities involved in all building maintenance functions, roadway operations and city-wide beautification activities. This includes City- owned facilities grounds maintenance of City trails, public buildings, and landscaped public rights-of-way; and coordination and planning of maintenance for repair and construction of City roadways, alleys, sidewalks and drainage systems. Coordinates assigned activities with other city departments, divisions and outside agencies to provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the Director of Public Works.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Advanced knowledge of the principles, practices and administration of facility maintenance. Knowledge of construction, program development and administration. Experience and knowledge of roadway operations and building maintenance functions. This experience and knowledge are generally acquired through completion of an associate’s degree in civil or technical related field or work history.
- Five or more years of progressively complex and responsible related work experience, which include three to five years of supervisory experience, in order to effectively develop and manage divisions’ mission and operations.
- Any combination of education, training, and experience which produces the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job and related to the essential functions of the position.
Licenses and Certifications
- Must possess a valid state driver's license and maintain satisfactory motor vehicle record and ability to obtain appropriate Nevada state driver’s license within required time frame.
- State of Nevada Herbicide/Pesticide Applicators License within six months of hire/reclassification.
- Sixteen hours Asbestos Operations and Maintenance education within six months of hire/reclassification.
- Must obtain a completion card for an OSHA-30 Construction course not later than 15 days after the date a supervisory employee is hired pursuant to NRS 618.977.

- Pre-Employment Screening –Selected candidates for this position are subject to a pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to local & state criminal history check; federal criminal history checks via submission of fingerprints; and drug screening. *IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Background check processing may take 2 to 3 months to complete.
