The City of Norfolk's Department of Recreation, Community Wellness/Recreation Programs is seeking a Recreation Activity Instructor to assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of music programming for youth, teens, adults, and seniors.

Essential functions include but are not limited to:
Work requires knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature which may be obtained with six months/one year of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency. Junior college, vocational, business, technical or correspondence schools are likely sources. Appropriate certification may be awarded upon satisfactory completion of advanced study or training.
Must have education &/or experience in music education or closely related field
At least one year of instructional experience, preferred
Valid Driver's License.
CPR/First Aid Certification within six months of employment.
Work Location: Lakewood Dance & Music Center, 1612 Willow Wood Drive, Norfolk, VA 23509
Work Hours:Monday to Sunday; 6:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m.; not to exceed 20 hours per week; flexible hours will apply including weekends, holidays, and special events.
