City of Missouri City is Hiring a Recreation Attendant (Part-Time) Near MISSOURI CITY, TX

This is an entry-level, part-time position in the Parks and Recreation Department. An individual in this position performs customer service duties in the City’s Recreation and Tennis Center. Reports to Recreation Attendant.
  • Promote and maintain excellent public relations and customer service by responding to public inquiries, correcting problems and unforeseen issues, and communicating with customers about questions, suggestions, activities, and complaints. 
  • Provide excellent customer service; greet and assist patrons, answer phones, provide information regarding policies, procedures, reservations, programs, registrations, events, and activities. 
  • Receive payments for memberships, day-use and recreation programs; manage revenues generated during shifts; balance cash, check and credit card receipts, and generate daily financial reports. 
  • Ensure that all Recreation and Tennis Center policies and procedures are explained to all patrons and guests; enforce rules and policies as necessary. 
  • Open and close the facility at scheduled times; prepare and maintain attendance and revenue reports; perform light custodial duties; maintain facility equipment and supplies. 
  • Prepare the facility for programs and rentals by setting up tables, chairs and equipment; work scheduled departmental special events including set up and break down. 
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays as necessary. All Parks & Recreation staff are expected to work the annual Snowfest Event (1st Saturday in December) and Independence Day Festival (July 4th) each year. 
  • All other duties as assigned.
Must be 16 years of age or older at the time of application. 
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate and six months experience in customer service preferred.
 The Department of Human Resources & Organizational Development may consider an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
