Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Telecommunicator to join our team. The Telecommunicator will be responsible for receiving emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatching appropriate personnel, and providing critical information to callers.

Duties:

- Answer incoming emergency and non-emergency calls
- Gather essential information from callers
- Dispatch appropriate response units to the scene
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers
- Monitor and track the status of responders
- Utilize GIS systems for location tracking
- Maintain accurate records of all communications

Experience:

- Prior experience in dispatching or telecommunication preferred
- Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and protocols
- Ability to analyze situations quickly and make sound decisions
- Proficiency in using GIS software for mapping and location services
- Phone triage experience is a plus
- Strong typing skills with accuracy and speed
- Certification or training in telecommunication or related field is beneficial
- Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous

Pay: $21.00 - $22.98 per hour
