JOB
The Grant Analyst supports the grant writing team by conducting research, drafting proposals, managing documentation, and assisting with administrative tasks. Their primary focus is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the grant application and reporting process.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Research – Assist in identifying potential grant opportunities that align with the organization’s mission and objectives.Documentation – Maintain and organize all grant-related documents, including guidelines, templates, and submissions.Drafting – Under the guidance of the Lead Grant Writer, draft sections of grant proposals, letters of intent, and reports.Data Management – Help gather and organize relevant statistics, financial information, and other data needed for grant applications.Proofreading – Review grant proposals for clarity, grammar, and adherence to grant guidelines.Coordination – Liaise with various departments to collect information or documentation required for grant submissions.Follow-up – Assist in tracking submitted proposals and updating the team on the status, feedback, or any additional requirements.Administrative Support – Schedule meetings, create agendas, and ensure timely submission of proposals and reports.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field is preferred.Previous experience or familiarity with grant writing or nonprofit fundraising is a plus.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to maintain focus and precision in preparing detailed documents.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.Proficiency in research methods and data collection.Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Familiarity with databases, word processing software, and online grant submission platforms. *The above job description outlines the general nature of work expected for this role and the level of responsibilities it entails.
