Join Our Team as an Electrical Inspector!

Are you ready to step into a dynamic role where each day brings new challenges and opportunities to make a difference? We're seeking a skilled Electrical Inspector to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of electrical installations across commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; and
  • Oregon Electrical Inspectors certificate, A-level / EI.
  • Oregon Inspectors Certification (OIC).
  • Current technical/professional knowledge of complex principles, methods, standards and techniques associated with the scope of work of a recognized profession such as:
  • Techniques, practices, and procedures for the construction, installation, repair and operation of electrical systems.
  • Applicable federal, state, and local codes.
  • Possession of valid driver's license by date of hire.
  • Ability to maintain an acceptable driving record throughout employment.
  • Successful completion of a background investigation to the satisfaction of the City.
  • Must obtain Residential Inspector Certification (CAS/CAX) within two (2) years of hire; the City will pay for the certification .

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous inspection experience is a plus but not necessary if A Level/Supervising Electrician certifications are held.

Available Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM

May be eligible for the following additional pay, for a maximum of 10%:

  • 5% for a Master's Degree
  • 5% for Professional Engineer Registration
  • 5% for any of the following additional certificates:
  • CAP
  • CAS
  • MIA
  • PEA
  • SIA

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.70 - $39.19 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
