The Deputy Court Administrator is a management level position serving under the general direction of the Director of Court Administration.The position is responsible for managing a variety of functions of the court to ensure effective supervision, proper case flow management and oversees various court programs and operations.The Deputy Court Administrator provides leadership, supervision and establishes expectations of 8 full- time employees; develops and implements policies and procedures; and serves as internal court software site administrator for support, design and technology management.Responsible for performing fiscal management, internal audit and accountability, assisting with budgetary duties related to development and management of court’s budget, purchasing, and revenue collections. In the absence of the Director of Court Administration, serves as Acting Director of Court Administration.

  • Court Software Site Administrator: Assisting in the design, development, implementation, and site administration of case management software system for Municipal Court. Duties may include, but are not limited to, the installation/configuration of automated systems, calendaring system, uniform policy and procedures, preparation of monthly and annual statistical analysis/reports to meet local and state requirements.
  • Fiscal Management, Internal Audit and Accountability: Plans, organizes, coordinates, and oversees the fiscal operations of the court. Performs a full range of accounting duties related to fiscal management and analysis of revenue and expenses, establishes and implements fiscal policies and maintains financial records and reports of the court. Duties include high level accounting functions and providing accounting direction and audit controls to assigned group of employees handling cash, revenue collection and recovery. Assist with annual budgetary planning, performs approval and authorization related to purchases of supply/inventory and other accounts payable tasks, monthly and annual reconciliation and long range expense forecasting.
  • Provide policy, direction and supervision of Senior Deputy Court Clerk who serves as the court’s Georgia Crime Information Center Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC) Court Revenue Recovery Program (collections, tax interception and appeals) and open records requests.
  • Eligibility Determination for Court Appointed Attorney or Motions for Modification of Fines: Provide policy, direction and supervision of tasks performed by Deputy Court Clerk III involving applications for court appointed attorney and motions for modification of fines.
  • Case Management (Civil Penalty and Criminal): Provide policy, direction and supervision of multiple Deputy Court Clerks (level I, II and III) performing duties of court case managers handling misdemeanors, traffic and local ordinance violations, photo enforced violations and parking. Duties under the supervision of this position include, but are not limited to, case initiation; researching of criminal and driver histories; courtroom support functions; scheduling of pleas, arraignments, bond forfeitures, and motions; accepting of pleadings and other documents; processing failure to appear offenses (preparing warrants/submitting license suspension), transferring of cases to higher court; final case disposition and reporting to Department of Driver Services and Georgia Crime Information Center; payment processing including bonds; and performing record searches.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
