Under the administrative direction of the Public Works Director, performs supervisory and skilled work in the daily operations of the City’s Public Works Department. Responsible for assigning and reviewing work of subordinate employees engaged in street, storm water, facility maintenance and fleet. Incumbent will assist the Director in establishing department policies, department budget, reviewing technical specifications and plans, draft bids, negotiate agreements, and oversee projects to assure they are completed according to determine schedules. Take personal responsibility to provide field support, exceptional customer service in order to promote and maintain a positive City image, a constructive working environment, and foster pride and professionalism in the workplace and community. Must have a working knowledge of unions.
