Performs topographic and construction surveying tasks including field measurement, data collection, and construction staking.
Prepares and maintains a variety of records related to inspections, including as-builts, applications, permits, drafting plans, drawings, files, forms, and other related records.
Reviews and issues permits utilizing established guidelines and procedures; verifies permit applications against applicable ordinances; enters permit information into applicable database; makes copies; notifies customers of denial or approval; maintains related files; and/or, performs other related activities.
Operates computerized drafting systems for generating and/or updating maps, drawings, plans, plats, files, and geographic informational reports; digitizes information; enters information into a database; and composes legal descriptions.
Performs a variety of engineering related calculations.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
Training and Experience:
Associate's degree in engineering, surveying, or related field; and 1-2 years of equivalent experience in the fields of surveying, engineering support, inspection and/or drafting.
Note: Additional qualifying experience may, at the discretion of the hiring manager, substitute for the required education of the assigned position.
