City of Lee's Summit is Hiring a Grants Manager Near Summit, MO

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Finance – Controller (Controller), the Grants Manager serves as the primary contact for all grant matters with both external entities and internal departments. Focuses on grant acquisition and compliance of grant requirements including analysis, subrecipient monitoring, and preparation of various reports to the grant sponsor. This is a lead position that assists other department staff with grant acquisition, compliance, and reporting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business, or a related area (master’s degree preferred)
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in grant management.
  • Must be available for committee, council, or other grant related meetings held outside normal business hours
*Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
 
  • Strong knowledge of federal and non-federal regulations, Uniform Guidance, and sub-award monitoring
  • Ability to study and understand programs and funding requirements of the organization
  • Strong research skills and knowledge of information sources
  • Multitasking, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with utmost integrity
  • Ability to guide, train, direct and motivate employees
  • Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments and with grantors and the public as needed.
