Job Summary
Performs various skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled tasks essential to the daily operation and maintenance of a safe airport. Works under the direct supervision of the Airport Maintenance Foreman. Position is assigned specific workdays; however, work schedule may vary depending on season and in winter, snow removal needs. Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Duties that are required (depending upon season):
1. Operates light and heavy equipment as qualified and needed to perform grounds maintenance for winter snow removal and clean-up operations.
2. Performs grounds maintenance such as shoveling snow, cleaning snow off light fixtures, and salting and sanding walkways.
3. Assists in repairs to airport lighting system. Changes lamps, cleans lenses and hilltop beacons.
4. Maintains all safety levels and security standards as determined by airport management.
5. Keeps tools, equipment, and work area in clean orderly manner.
6. Assists in record keeping. Completes/maintains fuel slips, timecard, and work orders.
