When assigned to Historic Preservation:
Researches, reads and interprets data from a variety of sources; transfers information to various documents, including gathering historical data for inclusion into reports, regularly scanning media sources for stories related to historic preservation in Nevada, utilizing digitized archival resources to locate and identify historic images and documents.
Collects, records, and summarizes data related to history and historic preservation, prepares basic reports.
Assists with the planning, organizing, coordinating and implementing activities and events associated with history and historic preservation.
Assists in preparing documents for projects, meetings and presentations.
Assists with a variety of automated and manual logs, records and files, performs a variety of record keeping, filing, indexing, and other general clerical work.
Undergraduate or graduate student majoring in History, Historic Preservation, Social Sciences, Landscape Architecture, Urban Studies, Anthropology or a related field.
Knowledge of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) of 1966, desirable but not required
Must have 3.0 GPA
Students must attach a writing sample, an unofficial copy of their transcripts, and a resume to their application.
