City of Lancaster is Hiring a Ranger Near Lancaster, CA

Position: Ranger 

Department: Public Safety

Hourly Range: $17.95 – $20.78/hour

Non-Exempt – Overtime Eligible

Job Summary:

Under general supervision, responsible for keeping city parks and facilities safe and accessible to the public by protecting and supervising designated areas.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Example of Duties & Responsibilities:

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Patrolling assigned areas to guard against theft and vandalism
  • Bag checks before patrons enter events and/or designated areas
  • Monitor visitor activity for safety and security
  • Secure City parks in the evenings
  • Provide security for public events and private rental events
  • Enforce Lancaster Municipal Codes in City parks
  • Assist with homeless relocation
