The purpose of this position is to repair and maintain the waste-water systems. This is accomplished by preparing sites for work; maintaining and repairing waste-water lines and mains; completing work orders, repairing lines and equipment, answering questions from customers; and informing the public regarding closures. Other duties include maintaining vehicles and tools, inspecting sites and other assigned duties.
One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Valid Class B (CDL) Driver’s License to be obtained within one year of employment with clean driving record

The City of Lancaster is one of the oldest communities in North Texas. The founder of Lancaster was"Honest A" Bledsoe born in Lancaster, Garrard County, Kentucky in 1801. In 1846, he came to Texas and secured a 640-acre tract of land, one mile west of town square today. Six years later, Bledsoe surveyed and staked off the land for the town of Lancaster in 1852. Incorporated in May 1866, Lancaster was one of the first incorporated communities in Dallas County. The City of Lancaster has a Council-Manager form of government. The City Manager serves as the Chief Executive Officer and the City Coun...cil makes policy. The City Manager is designated by the Charter as the Chief Administrative Officer with appointing authority for positions of employment with the City and is responsible for matters and policies relations to the general welfare of all employees.
