City of La Crosse Parks, Recreation & Forestry is Hiring a Lifeguard Near La Crosse, WI

The La Crosse Parks, Recreation & Forestry is seeking energetic, hands on on individuals who are interested in joining our Aquatics staff to fill the positions of Lifeguards at two public pools.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure and maintain aquatic safety and supervision of patrons
  • Enforce safe swimming programs and pool policies, rules, and regulations
  • Oversee and ensure that all daily maintenance is complete
  • Must have excellent human relation skills

Qualifications:

  • Lifeguard Certified
  • First Aid, CPR/AED Certified
  • Must be 15 years or older
  • *Certification courses available to City of La Crosse employees or new hires at NO COST*

Details:

  • Part-time or full-time positions at two pools including North Side Community Pool and Veterans Memorial Pool

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Flexible schedule

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Lifeguard: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • First Aid & CPR Certification (Preferred)
  • Lifeguard Training (Preferred)
