City of Irving is Hiring a Senior Strategic Services Manager Near Irving, TX

The Senior Strategic Services Manager will report to the Assistant City Manager and assume a strategic role in the overall leadership of the City. Duties include providing management oversight for the Innovation and Performance Office (IPO), Public Safety Wellness Unit (PSWU), and City Manager’s Office (CMO) administrative staff. Additionally duties include leading, planning, implementing, and managing complex projects and programs primarily related to strategic programming and organization performance; conducting research on various subject areas as well as support related to policy analysis, procedural interpretation and implementation; and management of assigned work areas, projects, and programs. A Master’s degree or equivalent in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science or a closely related field, and five years relevant experience, as well as two years supervisory experience required.   • Individuals hired into this position will receive $1000 after their first 30 days of employment provided there are no documented attendance or disciplinary issues.
  • Employees that successfully complete their 6-month orientation period will receive an additional one-time payment of $1000 provided there are no documented attendance or disciplinary issues.
  • Employees that successfully complete one year of employment without
    documented attendance or disciplinary issues will receive an additional one-time payment of $1000.
  • The maximum amount of hiring incentive that an individual employee may receive is $3,000.
