Job Summary
Position is responsible for interacting with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other laws pertaining to access for individuals with disabilities to city infrastructure and municipal programs and services. This position reports to the Deputy Director.
Key Responsibilities
Associates degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public or business administration, political science, management, or a related field required. One (1) year of work experience may be substituted for each year of formal education required. Effective record keeping, time management, and project management skills. Ability to maintain confidential information.Effective communication skills and the ability to interact tactfully with a variety of individuals. Ability to use Outlook and Microsoft Windows Office Suite and to conduct online research.
Preferred Job Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and five (5) or more years of progressive responsibility in business administration, public policy, organizational/strategic development and/or project management. At least three years of supervisory experience and budgetary responsibility. Two or more years in a role requiring an understanding of federal, state, and local resources for residents with disabilities and knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to accessibility and individuals with disabilities preferred.
