JOB
Responsible for recording, transcription and preservation of all Court proceedings. The Court Reporter is responsible for maintaining evidence, exhibits and providing administrative and managerial duties on behalf of the Court. Extensive computer skills are required as the Court is on an E-filing system.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Records and reports all court proceedings;Transcribes record of proceedings when ordered;Maintains exhibits, depositions and log notes of all proceedings of the Court; Maintains permanent exhibit files of all reported cases;Prepares orders, entries, and assigned documents;Prepares correspondence and distributes as required by the Court;Assists with the scheduling and updating of cases on the Court calendar;Answers telephones and responds to questions from court representatives and the general public;Assists with other duties and responsibilities when others are absent.
