The Seasonal Golf Shop Assistant will assist the Golf Professional in all aspects of operation. This employee should possess excellent communication and public relation skills while maintaining a professional attitude and image at all times.

This is a temporary position, 10-30 hours per week. Hours will vary per week depending on golf course schedule. Overtime may occasionally be required while weekend work will frequently be required.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

• This is an entry level position that will assist the Golf Professional with all aspects of operations including opening and closing the Golf Shop.
• Answering phones and inquiries in a professional manner.
• Providing excellent customer service to assist customers with booking tee times, golfer check-in, and selling merchandise.
• Staging and parking golf carts, cleaning carts, picking up the driving range and practice area.
• Assisting with tournament operations, league play, and practice area.
• Selling of green fees, golf supplies and equipment.
• Assisting with the operation of the golf supply shop.
• Cleaning and maintaining the Golf Pro Shop
• Enforcing the Municipal Golf rules and regulations
• Candidate will maintain a professional attitude and image at all times.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED FOR SUCCESS:

• EDUCATION: A school diploma or GED is preferred
• EXPERIENCE: one to three years of similar or related experience is required.
• LICENSES: A valid Kansas driver's license is required
• OTHER: Must be at least 17 to apply
