Job Summary
Inspects, maintains and repairs all facets of the Wastewater Collection system such as sanitary sewer lines, lateral lines and manholes. Treating lines with a “jet truck” and televising/inspecting pipe with a camera. Must be available for overtime and standby as needed.

Minimum Education, Certification, and Experience Requirements
Job Title | Requirements |
Water Utilities Entry Technician | High school diploma or equivalent. Upon successful completion of initial probationary period, the Water Utilities Entry Technician will be reclassified to a Water Utilities Technician I. Failure to successfully complete the initial probationary period will result in termination of employment. |
Water Utilities Technician I | High school diploma or equivalent. Must have a minimum of six months of recent experience in manual labor activities. |
Water Utilities Technician II | Must have one of the following:

Water Utilities Technician III | Must have a valid Texas Class A CDL license with a Tanker Endorsement upon hire or promotion. Must have an acceptable driving record as defined by City policy. Must have a Class II Collections license issued by the TCEQ is required. |
Must have a valid Texas driver's license with an acceptable driving record as defined by City policy.
Must have regular and punctual attendance, flexibility to work overtime and respond to emergency situations during non-scheduled work hours.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and essential job function screening.
