*Subject to change*DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe site coordinator for a senior aging nutrition program is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the program at a specific location or site. This includes coordinating with staff, volunteers, and community partners to ensure that nutritious meals and related services are provided to seniors in the area. The site coordinator is also responsible for managing the budget, ordering supplies, and maintaining compliance with program guidelines and regulations.
Maintain accurate daily and weekly counts for meals and transportation.
Cultivate partnerships with community agencies to secure volunteer presenters and ensure completion of weekly volunteer presentation forms.
Handle volunteer forms for participants assisting with program activities.
Record daily attendance of participants.
Facilitate Client Intake process, ensuring all necessary service request forms are completed.
Ensure accurate service tracking and reporting, supported by required documentation and program criteria.
Address consumer calls promptly and efficiently.
Manage change of status procedures as required.
Organize and supervise field trips.
Conduct monthly facility and safety inspections at all three program locations.
Complete incident reports and oversee fire drills as necessary.
Fulfill other assigned duties as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS The position occasionally requires stooping or bending. Occasional very light lifting, such as three or four reams of papers or books (up to 20 pounds or an equivalent weight) may be required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or a GED.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSSix (6) months of experience are required.
LICENSE REQUIREMENTSValid Driver's License and compliance with the City of Houston policy on driving (AP 2-2).
**Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.**SELECTION/SKILLS TESTS REQUIRED None
