We are seeking a visionary and results-oriented leader to take the helm of the City of Hillsboro's Broadband Initiative and drive its continued success. As the Hi-Light General Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of broadband operations, from strategic planning and network management to customer service and community engagement.What You Will Be Doing: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive broadband strategy, aligned with community needs and technological advancements.Oversee the daily operations of the broadband network, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and security.Manage a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and potential partners.Oversee the budget and financial performance of the broadband initiative.Advocate for policies and regulations that promote affordable and accessible broadband for all.Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements, identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement.Provide exceptional customer service and address customer concerns promptly and effectively.Develop and implement marketing and outreach initiatives to promote broadband adoption and usage.Prepare and present regular reports on the performance of the broadband initiative to key stakeholders.Acceptable Training and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Services or a related field; and 8 years of experience in complex project management, broadband marketing, sales and operations, implementation, network and systems management including 5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
