The Public Buildings Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for scheduling and supervising skilled trades personnel and other workers engaged in the maintenance, remodeling and repair of public buildings. Major responsibilities involve maintaining City owned buildings and conducting preliminary surveys of proposed projects including cost estimates; gathering budget information; monitoring capital improvement programs; ordering material; coordinating construction remodeling schedules with other sections; and ensuring that safe work practices are followed. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Public Works Director.
