The Full Salary Range for this position is $43,285.00 - $77,458.00 Annually. The Hiring Range is $46,315-$60,941 Annually depending on qualifications, with an excellent benefits package. Work Schedule:
Primary Duties/Brief Description of Work:
The Solid Waste and Recycling Route Supervisor handles garbage and recycling collection and disposal, and seasonal services. The ideal supervisor should be able to plan, prioritize, assign schedules, and review the work of collection crews responsible for providing residential and commercial solid waste collections. You will have to answer questions and provide information to the public regarding solid waste collection operations and activities; investigate complaints and recommend correction action as necessary to resolve complaints. In this role you will also coordinate staff training, assist and made hiring recommendations, promotions and disciplinary actions of assigned personnel, assist in the implementation of policies and procedures and methods for proving solid waste collection services. Employees of the City of Greensboro are expected to perform all duties listed in their position descriptions, as well as other related duties as assigned. This position does work a 40 hour work week, and the selected candidate must be able to respond in emergency situations, this includes working holidays, weekends as needed, and responding in severe weather events.
