The Office of Violence Prevention (OVP) is hiring part-time, limited term Violence Interrupters. Interrupters leverage their individual reputation and street credibility to disrupt the cycle of violence and reduce shootings and homicides in the City of Green Bay.
Interrupters intervene in individual, group, and gang-related conflicts before they intensify, work to prevent retaliatory shootings, and utilize problem-solving skills to address safety risks and end conflict.
These are limited term positions with funding anticipated to last until December 31, 2025 with the possibility of extension.
Rate of pay: $25.00 per hour
Work Schedule: 15-30 hours per week with a varied scheduled based on the needs of the position.
