Minimum of 18 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience with computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, etc.).
Data entry experience with Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or Data Management programs.
Field Inventory and extensive data collection/data entry experience preferred.
Safety oriented with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
Must demonstrate organizational and critical thinking skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Essential Functions
Assist the Facilities Manager to develop and manage all processes and means of asset information gathering needed to populate the Asset Essentials asset management software.
Follow instruction for data management activities consisting of accurate field data collection, proper data organization, and formatting and accurate and comprehensive data entry into the asset management software.
Other asset management duties as assigned.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements (performed with or without reasonable accommodation):
Majority of time will be spent auditing buildings and other locations to inventory and collect equipment data on all field assets of Public Works Facilities Services as directed.
Vision enough to read digital location maps, equipment boiler plate information and vision enough to accurately input this information into a laptop or Tablet from the field location.
Manual dexterity to operate a personal computer and related equipment from workstation and field location.
Visual, Hearing and safety awareness enough to perform these duties in a safe and unescorted manner. The ability to communicate hazards and other potentially unsafe issues to the assigned supervisor.
Mobility enough to access various building locations, such as attic, crawl spaces and other secluded equipment locations to inventory and collect equipment data on all field assets of Public Works Facilities Services as directed.
