Sustainability Specialist
Hiring Range $5,305-$5,971 monthly

About the Position:
This position involves, creating, coordinating and implementing projects that promote sustainability awareness and inspire community and internal action, developing public education and outreach strategies, and collaborating with City departments to refine sustainability policies and programs.

Duties

What You'll Do:
  • Assist in implementing sustainability goals and objectives; monitor progress through data collection and analysis.
  • Research sustainable approaches, policies, and programs to support sustainability goals.
  • Develop public education, outreach strategies and materials to increase awareness and involvement in sustainability issues; create and deliver presentations.
  • Organize sustainability events and coordinate with both public and private entities.
  • Assist in development of program budgets and grants.

Qualifications

What We are Looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in sustainability, environmental science, planning or a related field.
  • One (1) or more years of professional experience working in sustainability, environmental science, resource conservation, planning or a related field.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver’s license.
Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be submitted.
