JOB SUMMARY
This position under minimal supervision is responsible for a variety of general and specialized professional planning functions relative to the Planning and Zoning Department.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work requires exerting up to 25 to 50 pounds of force occasionally to move objects and the following physical abilities: balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity, and walking.
MENTAL DEMANDS
Frequently requires time pressures, frequent change of tasks, performing multiple tasks simultaneously, and working closely with others as part of a team. Occasionally requires irregular schedule/overtime, tedious or exacting work, and noisy/distracting environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work is typically performed indoors with some work performed outdoors. Employees are exposed periodically to traffic, noise, dirt, grease, irritating chemicals, insects, and inclement weather.
