Position Summary:Essential Job Functions:

• Install, move and maintain camera, lighting and audio equipment including cable installation and device connection.
• Install, move and maintain conference room audio-visual equipment.
• Install, configure and maintain computer equipment associated with the audio-visual and surveillance systems.
• Install, configure, support and maintain software systems associated with audio-visual and surveillance systems.
• Establish and lead standardization and integration of all audio-visual, lighting, and surveillance equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair cameras, microphones, document cameras, conference room equipment, Windows PCs and associated network equipment.
• Install, configure, support, and maintain conference room display systems.
• Perform updates to equipment and Windows OS as needed.
• Coordinate with vendors to update systems as needed.
• Troubleshoot, escalate and monitor problem resolution and ensure satisfactory and timely completion.
• Maintain orderly equipment racks, rooms and wiring.
• Organize storage area so needed supplies and equipment can be maintained.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on system and check wiring connections.
• Document policies, procedures and best practices.

Minimum Education & Work Experience : High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) 2 years related experience A Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months after hire Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Preferred Knowledge - Abilities & Skills:

• Associate Degree in Audiovisual Technology, Electronics or related field of study
• Trade school or audio visual vendor training
• Certified Technology Specialist (CTS)
• 2 - 4 years’ experience with audio-visual control systems
• 2 - 4 years’ experience with Windows Desktop OS and software installation procedures
• 2 - 4 years’ experience with A/V switching equipment and audio amplifiers

• Knowledge of audio-visual control system theory and practice
• Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot PC hardware and software
• Ability to work with specific hardware such as cabling and transmission test equipment
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex instructions
• Ability to effectively manage time, perform multiple tasks and organize diverse work activities
• Interpersonal skills to work with customers to resolve issues

Licenses & Certifications: Valid Class C Driver’s License Physical Tasks & Working Conditions: The incumbent works in a typical office environment; occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions and/or hazards. The position requires that the incumbent be able to lift 50 pounds, work in close / cramped areas, work in dusty conditions, work in low-light conditions and be able to sit, stand, kneel, crouch and bend for brief periods of time. The position requires that the incumbent be able to work while standing on a ladder or other appropriate device to elevate the incumbent to the level of the work. The incumbent must be able to use fingers to feel and have sufficient dexterity to sort and hold small wires, connect cables and install small connectors into sockets. The incumbent must be able to discern a broad spectrum of colors used in network cable. The position requires occasional outside work and the ability to work on-call as needed for urgent issues. This position works independently, under limited supervision.
