City of Gallup, NM is Hiring a PARKS LABORER F/T (Open Positions: 2) Near Gallup, NM

Under the general direction of Parks Superintendent, incumbent performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance, operation and litter control of all Parks and Recreation facilities including buildings and grounds, cemeteries, and other city properties. Duties include custodial work, mowing and pulling weeds at all City parks, grading and lining fields for sports activities; performs internment functions such as preparing for burials at the City cemetary. Assists in the preparation and set-up of facilities for City-sponsored and other events. General maintenance tasks involve maintaining lawn and other power equipment and assisting in the maintenance of municipal buildings and surrounding grounds. Performs carpentry and plumbing duties. Operates tractors, mowers, jackhammers, welders, trucks, stem cleaners, buffers, washers and other related equipment under supervision. Incumbent will perform internment functions.
