City of Farmers Branch is Hiring a Lifeguard - Year Round (PT) Near Farmers, TX

The purpose of this position is to ensure the safety of pool patrons in and around the aquatic facilities.

Supervise and ensure the safety of pool patron through effective scanning.
Maintain cleanliness of the pool facility and complete light janitorial work.
Assist with "Learn to Swim" lessons when necessary.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Level of knowledge must have at least some high school experience. Must be at least 16 years of age. Possess knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, or office processes.

Employment is conditional upon successful completion of a criminal background check and drug/alcohol testing.

Position requires regular interaction involving exchange and receipt of information. Customer service skills and the ability to interact with patrons on a daily basis.

Ability to perform duties after receiving detailed instructions as to methods, procedures, and desired end results with little room for deviation. The immediate supervisor may, at times, provide close and constant review.

Use of standard technical skills appropriate to the work environment of the organization.

Ability to remain attentive and alert during long periods of time.

Basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, writing, and math, including, but not limited to, the ability to compose complete sentences, understand common complex words and phrases, and perform basic math functions such as fractions, percentages, measurements, and ratios/proportions.
