City of Durango is Hiring a Custodian - Facilities Near Durango, CO
- Perform custodial duties in assigned buildings, including but not limited to:
- Vacuuming and shampooing carpets
- Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms
- Emptying and cleaning trash bins
- Washing windows and walls
- Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures
- Sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors and stairs
- Replenishing supplies
- Moving office furniture
- Keeping outdoor areas, including sidewalks and parking lots, free of litter and debris
- Gather trash and recyclables and transport them to receptacles.
- Report any maintenance issues throughout the facility and grounds.
- Assist with maintenance and repairs.
- Engage with the public to provide or exchange information.
- Equivalent to completion of high school or GED.
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Three months of custodial or building maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment, including carpet cleaning, maintenance, and stain removal.
- Ability to work evening and weekend shifts as needed.
