City of Denton is Hiring an Assistant Concession Supervisor Near Denton, TX
This requisition expires on June 14, 2024, but may close earlier if the position is filled prior to the expiration date. Responsible for assisting with supervising activities related to the food and beverage operations at Denton Aquatic Facilities.Essential Functions:
Provides exceptional customer service to all external and internal customers.
Serves as manager on duty is the absence of Concessions Manager
Responsible for assisting in training and supervising all concessions personnel in stand operations and food handling
Assists with inventory control and supply deliveries
Assists in monitoring inventory stock and making recommendations to Concessions Manager for ordering
Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of all concession’s areas
Ensures that concessions facilities adhere to all City of Denton health codes
Performs all opening procedures with concessions staff
Prepares concessions facility and products for daily shifts
Serves food items to guests during daily operations and special events
Establishes and maintains an energetic and enthusiastic atmosphere
Resolves guest concerns in a courteous and professional manner
Follows established City of Denton policies and procedures
Attend all staff meetings and training as required
Maintains regular and punctual on-site attendance
Additional Duties:
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications / Acceptable Equivalency:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
1-2 years customer service and/or food handling experience
OR
Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job
Core Competencies:
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to form and maintain effective relationships with coworkers and customers
Preferences:
Prior experience operating a cash register
Prior experience tracking inventories
Prior experience supervising employees who prepare and/or handle food
Food Handlers Certification
Conditions of Employment:
Must have and maintain a valid Class “C” Driver’s License and valid state required minimum automobile liability insurance prior to employment (must obtain Texas Class “C” driver’s license and state required minimum automobile liability insurance within 90 days of hire per state law)
Must pass a drug test, driver’s license check, criminal history background check, and social security number verification check
Must pass a physical examination
Must be at least 17 years or older and be able to work on a rotating schedule seven (7) days (up to 40 hours) per week
