Laborer I – Streets Department, Range 6, $13.39/hr.

Open until filled

The City of Deming is seeking qualified applicants for regular, full time Laborer I, located in the Streets

and Wastewater Departments. Position requires a valid State of New Mexico driver's license and clean

driving record; previous department-related work experience is preferred.

Laborers in the City of Deming perform routine, unskilled manual labor in support of the Community

Service and Public Works Department. Employees in this class perform work of a manual nature that

does not require a high degree of manipulative skill or previous experience in order to do an effective job.

Work is usually closely supervised, but many types of work assignments may be routine and repetitive in

nature and once learned can be performed under only general supervision.

Individuals offered employment will be required to pass a pre-employment physical, drug test and

background check.
