Job Summary Job Description Overview The Talent Acquisition Partner - Outreach, will identify, engage, and attract top talent from diverse communities, fostering a workplace that values unique perspectives and experiences, playing a pivotal role in expanding the City of Dallas’ diversity and inclusion initiatives by focusing on outreach to various specialty groups, including veterans, students, interns, diverse speaking communities and retirees. Essential Functions 1 Develop targeted outreach strategies to connect with veterans, students, interns, retirees, and any other identified targeted specialty groups. 2 Leverage various channels, including social media, networking events, career fairs, and community partnerships, to enhance outreach efforts. 3 Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Professional Associations, Alumni Networks, Diversity and Inclusion Groups, Local Meetup Groups, Online Forums and Communities, Networking Events, Social Media Groups, Local Business Chambers, Nonprofit Organizations, Cultural and Community Centers and Job Fairs. 4 Act as a brand ambassador, representing the City of Dallas in a positive light to prospective candidates and foster internal and external professional relationships. 5 Proactively source and identify candidates with diverse backgrounds from the targeted specialty groups. 6 Utilize innovative sourcing methods to tap into niche talent pools 7 Partner with hiring managers to understand the specific needs of each department and develop tailored recruitment strategies. 8 Provide guidance on best practices for attracting and retaining talent from diverse backgrounds. 9 Advocate for diversity and inclusion within the City of Dallas, promoting an inclusive workplace for all employees. 10 Collaborate with HR and leadership to develop and implement diversity in our recruiting and selection initiatives. 11 Participate in community events and initiatives to enhance the City of Dallas’ visibility and reputation within the targeted specialty groups. 12 Establish the company as an employer of choice for individuals within these communities. 13 Track and analyze recruitment metrics related to targeted specialty groups to assess the effectiveness of the outreach strategies and initiatives. 14 Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on outreach diversity recruitment efforts. 15 Performs any and all other work as needed or assigned. Knowledge and Skills 1 Strong knowledge of diversity and inclusion best practices. 2 Knowledge of basic human resource principles, laws, and regulations 3 Knowledge of laws and regulations related to diversity recruitment. 4 Knowledge of applicant tracking systems and other programs. 5 Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. 6 Ability to build and maintain relationships with external organizations and community groups. 7 Ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment. 8 Ability to compile, write, and present reports related to program or administrative specialty. 9 Ability to provide strong customer service skills 10 Ability to effectively use computer programs and systems. 11 Ability to be driven and self-motivated with exceptional communication and follow up skills to recruit the best talent in the shortest time frame. 12 Ability to be driven and self-motivated Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business, human resources management or public administration. EXPERIENCE: Three (3) years of employment recruitment/selection/onboarding experience which must have involved any of the following areas: Organizing job fairs/hiring events Coordinating special events involving public participation with outside agencies and resources Outreach to specialty groups (e.g., veterans, students, interns, retirees, professional associations, etc.) Online sourcing/networking for recruiting EQUIVALENCIES: High school diploma or GED plus seven (7) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements. Associate degree in any field plus five (5) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements. Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a non-specified field plus five (5) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements. Master's degree (or higher) in a specified field plus one (1) year of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements. Language Spanish (required) Closing Date: April 26, 2024 Salary Range $57,655.61 - $72,069.51 The salary listed on this job posting is the starting salary range; amount offered will depend upon qualifications.
