City of Columbia, MO is Hiring a Part-Time Front Desk Assistant - Police Department (TEMPORARY POSITION) Near Columbia, MO
A temporary employee position is one created and intended to exist for less than one thousand four hundred fifty (1,450) hours in any calendar year. Provides customer service in person, via phone, and in writing. Provides varied and complex administrative office support to department and staff and creates and maintains records in accordance with rules and regulations Perform Tele-Serve responsibilities, including having frequent telephone contacts with the public in order to take minor criminal complaints where no suspect information is available. Process and file hard copies of Municipal Warrants issued by the Judge. Enter and remove warrants, stolen property and vehicles from the MULES system. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience/Skills Desired:
Dependability, ability to work under strict deadlines, and a capability and willingness to maintain a commitment to the department. Basic computer skills; Knowledge of basic criminal justice terminology concepts and methodologies is preferred.
The successful candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check.
