GENERAL PURPOSE:
Performs intermediate-level professional work in the Community Relations Division, specifically in the areas of marketing and social media strategy and content creation Responsible for creating graphics; event photography; planning, implementing and monitoring the Parks and Recreation Department's social media and marketing strategy in order to increase brand awareness; and improving marketing efforts to grow resident participation while maintaining City standards, ordinances and policies.
Salary: $62,712.00-$70,012.80/annually (Depending on Qualifications)
Hours of Work: Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some evenings will be required.

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or a closely related field; supplemented by at least five (5) combined years in marketing or graphic design and social media strategy (with no less than one (1) year of substantial experience in either discipline).
Must have experience with graphic design, print layout, and video editing. Web content management software knowledge a plus.
Must possess a Florida Class E Driver's License

Physical Requirements:
Depending on functional area of assignment, tasks involve the periodic performance of moderately physically demanding work, usually involving lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (up to 50 pounds). Tasks that require moving objects of significant weight require the assistance of another person and/or use of proper techniques and moving equipment. Tasks may involve some climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Tasks may involve extended periods of time of standing, walking, or at a keyboard or work station.
Environmental Requirements:
Tasks are regularly performed inside and/or outside with potential for exposure to adverse conditions, such as dirt, dust, pollen, odors, fumes and/or poor ventilation, wetness, humidity, rain, temperature and noise extremes, machinery and/or moving vehicles, vibrations, electric currents, animals/wildlife, toxic/poisonous agents, gases or chemicals, oils and other cutting fluids, violence and/or disease, or pathogenic substances.
Sensory Requirements:
Some tasks require manual dexterity, in addition to visual and hearing acuity. Some tasks may involve identifying and distinguishing colors.
