CITY OF CLINTON is Hiring a 911 Dispatcher Near Clinton, TN

```Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dispatcher. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and dispatching emergency services, ensuring efficient response times and effective communication. If you have excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to remain calm under pressure, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities: - Receive emergency calls and gather necessary information - Dispatch appropriate emergency personnel to designated locations - Utilize GIS and GPS systems to determine the most efficient routes for emergency responders - Monitor and track the status of emergency units in the field - Provide phone triage and offer medical advice when necessary - Transcribe accurate and detailed information from callers - Analyze situations and make quick decisions to ensure appropriate response - Communicate effectively with emergency personnel, law enforcement agencies, and other relevant parties - Maintain accurate records of all calls, dispatches, and actions taken - Collaborate with other dispatchers to ensure seamless coordination of emergency services Skills: - Proficient in using GIS software for mapping and routing purposes - Knowledge of law enforcement procedures and protocols.

Experience in dispatching emergency services is preferred - Ability to perform phone triage and provide medical advice when required - Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus - Strong ability to transcribe information accurately and quickly - Proficient in using GPS systems to determine optimal routes for emergency responders - Excellent analytical skills to assess situations and make quick decisions - Exceptional communication skills to effectively relay information to various parties involved in emergency response.

Pay: From $16.36 per hour
