This position must posses good interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy. The employee must be able to safely handle prisoners in a variety of circumstances and must be able to transport prisoners to and from different jurisdictions including medical institutions. In some cases, the booking officer will serve as bailiff for the Clinton Municipal Court. Employee may come in contact with possible confrontations including having to control a violent person.
